Expansion of my writing offerings in 2025, press goals for the new year

I have a few big press goals in 2025.

First, I am putting out two books of my own writing that I’m excited about. The first is my “Soup Library” book, a documentation of how I timebank and take advantage of seasonal produce every fall by preserving soups. It will come out late February. There will be a future post about “Soup Library” when pre-orders open up.

Writing my soup library book has tapped into something I’ve been feeling for a long time: I want to do more writing. I want to spend big parts of my days writing. I want to be able to block time outside of gig work, garden work, nonprofit work, custom print work to write.

My other goal this year is to disengage with Instagram. More than ever it feels gamified in a way that’s itchy, addictive, consuming. I feel the weight of our billionaire tech overlords when I post studio photos of my heart’s work. Why am I doing this here? I’m working to pull back an…
